New Project Joins GR!C with Advocacy Groups

The Girls Rock! Chicago Keep On Livin’ Series is a free program for Chicago advocacy organizations that familiarizes girls with musical instruments and basic song writing techniques while developing a link between music, self expression and empowerment.
The Saturday-morning series focuses on challenging violence and discrimination through music, and stresses cooperation, media literacy and positive self esteem. The GR!C project will launch in early 2008, and will take place at organization host sites.
