Girls Rock! Chicago is hiring a full-time Operations Manager to facilitate and supervise the year-round activities of the organization. The Operations Manager will focus specifically on preparing for and facilitating our two week-long day camps for girls aged 8-16 and one three-day camp for women, as well as the year-round operations of the organization. This position reports directly to the Girls Rock! Chicago Board.

Primary Responsibilities of the Operations Manager:
- Supervise the Girls Rock! Chicago staff and committee work, including outreach, volunteer recruitment/management, communications/social media, and fundraising/events
- Facilitate projects to ensure committees and coordinators can accomplish organizational goals; ensure all projects receive necessary resources and support
- Coordinate and manage the camp application cycle, including publicity, application intake and processing, camper communications and confirmations and camp assignments
- Organize and approve the final camp schedule and volunteer assignments, in collaboration with curriculum, workshop and volunteer coordinators
- Hire and manage staff and interns (including performance review process)
- Manage Girls Rock! Chicago budget; present quarterly reports to board and staff
- Complete the day-to-day office operations including answering or delegating all correspondences, maintaining online accounts (PayPal, JustGive, etc), ordering office supplies and coordinating production & stock of Girls Rock! publicity items (buttons, pamphlets, brochures, business cards, etc).
- Coordinate production of annual camper CDs from recording and mastering to duplication, packaging and mailing.
- Build and maintain partnerships with complimentary organizations
- Participate in fundraising initiatives including, but not limited to, end-of-year ask, sponsor/donor research and cultivation, and events
- Run Girls Rock! Staff meetings
- Provide and present monthly reports on operations at Girls Rock! Board meetings
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working with or at a non-profit organization
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Ability to work independently
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with children or in education
- Experience with music (broadly defined)
- Supervisory experience
- Experience managing or working with volunteers
Salary
$26,000 per year, plus health insurance
