DIY Recording Workshop

So you’ve written a song or two (or maybe a whole bunch!), now what? Girls Rock! Chicago is partnering with Chicago Women in Trades and Resonate to bring you this empowering program all about do-it-yourself recording. No studio time or expensive equipment necessary! Attendees will get a chance to learn and practice methods for recording their own music at home, as well as information about finding the right gear for home recording.

Date: Sunday, February 21st, 2016
Time: 1 PM – 4 PM
Location: 2444 W. 16th St., #16 (Chicago Women in Trades Office – free parking available!)
Cost: Between $10 – $40 per person (sliding scale)
Capacity: 40

Attendees: Anyone ages 12 & up who identifies as a girl/woman, transgender (regardless of identity), and/or gender nonconforming. Guardians of any gender identity may attend with participants under 18 for free, but guardians are not required. Please note that this workshop is open to women, transgender, and gender nonconforming folks over the age of 18 too!

Activities: Participants will learn about and practice home recording methods. Workshop leaders will also discuss selecting the right gear for recording music at home.
