Wanna volunteer? You rock!
GR!C relies on volunteers (ages 21 and up) to staff our weeklong summer camps, weekend-long ladies rock camps, as well as help with fund-raising and outreach efforts in the months leading up to camp. Past volunteers have done everything from work security shifts at summer music festivals to teach drums at camp to photographing our End-of-Camp Performance Extravaganza. Whatever your talent, chances are there’s a niche for you at GR!C.

Session 1 of Ladies Rock Camp will take place February 13th-15th at Music Garage, located at 345 N Loomis Street. Ladies Rock Camp is an intensive weekend-long workshop for women 19 and older. Participants follows a program similar to what the girls do at our summer camp: learn an instrument, form a band, write a song, and perform it - in just three days.

There are three primary, full-time positions that volunteers fill during camp week: counselors, band coaches, and instrument teachers. Each plays a vital role and we ask that you only apply to these positions if you are serious about making a commitment to the entire week of camp.
Can’t be there all week? There are also multiple part-time positions available including one-time workshop teachers.
Both full-time and part-time camp week volunteer positions are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. All applicants must participate in a brief interview with a GR!C board member, to be conducted in person in the months leading up to camp.

If you can’t commit to camp week itself, don’t worry—we still need you! Whether you can help with spreading the gospel of GR!C from behind a booth at a music festival, or just showing up to support the girls when they rock out at their End-of-Camp Performance Extravaganza, we truly value your support. We’ll also love you if can donate or procure gear (new or used); volunteer your band to play a benefit show; donate T-shirts, art supplies or other crafty gems for camp-week activities; donate your old riot grrrl CDs for our small but growing library; host a fund-raising event at your place of business; or just plain-old donate money!
