Girls Rock! Chicago will once again be hosting two sessions of our summer camp for girls ages 8 – 16. Both sessions of camp will be held at Suder Montessori Magnet School located at 2022 W. Washington Blvd., Chicago IL.
Session 1: Monday, June 23rd – Sunday, June 29th
Session 2: Monday, July 28th – Sunday, August 3rd
THE APPLICATION PROCESS HAS THREE STEPS:
1. The program application & optional financial aid application
2. A non-refundable $10 application fee
3. A creative sample prepared by the camper
This year, we would strongly prefer that creative samples are submitted at the same time as the program application. Be creative! Some ideas: Write a letter, draw a picture, make a collage, record or write a song or a poem. We want to know why you want to participate in Girls Rock! Chicago summer camp.
If you have questions about camp or the application process, please email email@example.com
The education and enrichment opportunities taken for granted in communities across the country are dangerously lacking for teen girls on the Pine Ridge Reservation. This year, the Lakota Cultural Exchange is offering one teen girl the opportunity to attend Girls Rock! Chicago camp. We are proud to say that one of our talented and dedicated campers, Ava, is the founder of this program. She has generously taken the lead on coordinating and fundraising for this exchange.
Girls Rock! Chicago will be providing a full camp scholarship, but Ava is securing donations for travel and incidental expenses. She has estimated about $1,000 total cost for the trip, and has raised nearly $550 so far. We encourage you to make a donation through Girls Rock! Chicago! You can donate through PayPal or by mailing a check to:

Just specify that your donation is for the Lakota Cultural Exchange Program, and we will see that 100% of the funds are allocated to this wonderful program. Learn more about the program here.
