2014 Camp CDs: Coming Soon!

Jan 8th, 2015 by info | Comments Off

Girls Rock! 2014 camp CDs are almost ready for pick up and shipping! Big thanks to everyone who has donated their time and talent to make these possible, including Wall 2 Wall Recording and Chicago Mastering Service.

Have you ever wondered how the process works? After a long day at the studio with our campers, our amazing engineers mix hours worth of material, putting together the vocal and instrumental tracks. Once the levels are just right, the mixes head over to our friends at Chicago Mastering Service where they are mastered and prepared for duplication. A local artist creates the CD layout and design, which includes images from our End-of-Camp Extravaganza posters, band names, and song titles. This year, our very own Gear Coordinator, Jess LeMaster, designed the artwork!

Finally, all of the pieces are sent off to the production plant where they are manufactured, printed, shrink wrapped, and shipped off to the GR!C office. This is a labor intensive process, and we are grateful to everyone involved, including all of our campers and families. We’re so excited to share the final product soon! Keep an eye on your inbox for pick up and shipping dates!
