Love listening to music? Itching to share your favorite tunes with a crowd? Think you’ve got what it takes to get a dance floor moving? Hop behind the turntables and give it a try! Learn mixing, beat matching & more basics of being a DJ in this super informative, hands-on workshop.
This workshop is open to ALL boys, girls & teens from age 7-17, but instruction will be tailored to specific age groups, so listen up!
Ages 7-11 kick things off from 2-3:30pm
Ages 12-17 take their turn from 3:30 - 5pm

Girls Rock! Chicago is hiring a full-time Operations Manager to facilitate and supervise the year-round activities of the organization. The Operations Manager will focus specifically on preparing for and facilitating our two week-long day camps for girls aged 8-16 and one three-day camp for women, as well as the year-round operations of the organization. This position reports directly to the Girls Rock! Chicago Board.

Girls Rock! Chicago is pleased to announce the return of our Autumn Auction! Join us at this very special event to celebrate the close of another successful summer of camps, and to kick-off fundraising for 2012. This year’s speakeasy-themed soiree features Prohibition-era cocktails poured by Chicago’s finest bartendresses, delectable eats from favorite haunts, and live jazz harkening to the golden age. Our booty of items for bid runs the gamut from behind-the-scenes tours of local labels and distilleries to studio time with Mr. Steve Albini at Electrical Audio — and every last penny goes toward furthering our mission.

The fine folks at saki have generously invited Girls Rock! Chicago to host a series of fun programs in their oh-so-fabulous store. First up is a screening of Girls Rock! The Movie, a must-see documentary about our sister camp in Portland. We’d love for all campers, parents, siblings, and volunteers to join us for some inspiring viewing on Friday, October 21st at 7:30pm. Bring your own pillow to sit on.
