GR!C's Looking for a Printmaker!

Girls Rock! Chicago is now recruiting a printmaker for our 2018 camp posters! We’re looking for an artist to design and print 150 posters per session for our End-of-Camp Extravaganzas. We offer these as keepsakes for our campers, and we also sell the extras as part of our fundraising efforts.

GR!C needs two sets of posters and can offer $400 per run ($800 total) including supplies, labor, and CD art (album front, back, and CD cover). Our needs are as follows:

150 posters for Session 1
150 posters for Session 2

As you may know, we are a 501c3 nonprofit and have a limited budget. Any costs accrued over our above offer can be considered a tax-deductible donation!

Girls Rock! Chicago Design Guidelines
1. Please don’t use bodies or human forms in your piece. Because we tend to get a lot of designs with “girl” bodies included in them, we try to stay away from that just because it’s hard to represent the entire GR!C community with a couple of people on a poster.
2. No electronically printed posters. Our preference is that posters are screen-printed, but any type of printmaking will be considered.
3. Please make the poster in between 11”x17” and 18”x24”. Posters must be a standard print size (people like framing them!).
4. Please use thick poster paper (no newsprint!) We tend to use the French Paper – book type. Anything comparable to that is fine!

Deadlines:
Session 1: June 29th, 2018
Session 2: July 27th, 2018
CD art: September 2018
